Wency Lam (she/they) is a London-based movement practitioner with a passion for holistic well-being. Drawing from the fields of dance, theatre, somatic practices and movement science, Wency explores ways of moving, perceiving and living through their creative work in live performance as well as through teaching, facilitation, workshops, and one-to-one coaching. Their practice is underpinned by a commitment towards care, self-investigation and a lack of judgement.
Wency has an MA in Expanded Dance Practice from the London Contemporary Dance School and a BSc in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Hong Kong. They have attended professional development courses in Anatomy Trains, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation, Fighting Monkey Practice, Lecoq Technique, Contact Improvisation, and more.
Wency has been funded by Arts Council England and presented their work at The Place, Streatham Space Project, Theatre Deli, and various international festivals.
